This IR blaster is used to trigger a shutter release on a DSLR

In all, this camera has 5 kinds of modes, and they are:
mode 1, SONY take pictures immediately
mode 2, SONY camera shooting
mode 3, Canon take pictures immediately
mode 4, Nikon take pictures immediately
mode 5, Pentax take pictures immediately
Method of mode selection: shorting port TX and RX with jumper cap.
First, user turns off power, and pups joint TX and RX, then ensures that port 5V and GND have been powered. After that, blue state indicator light will keep flashing which stands for system has entered the state of mode selection, and then it will be out.
After being out, LED will light up again, and then will be out in 3 seconds that stands for mode 1 at this moment. If we want to change the mode, we should immediately pull out jumper cap in the 3 seconds which will disconnect RX and TX. After 3 seconds, indicator light will keep on which means mode 1 function has been started normally.
If mode 1 have not been chose, the indicator light will light up again after 3 seconds, and then turn off. At this moment, it stands for entering mode 2 choice. Users also have 3 seconds to choose and the methods are same as that of mode 1.
The choice methods of mode 3, mode 4 and mode 5 as above.
Notice:
If users don’t choose mode when they first use the remote controller, mode 1 will be chosen by default (SONY take pictures immediately). If users have chosen the mode successfully, the last mode will be chosen automatically after being electrified at next time for the choice of user having been stored in the remote controller after power failure. If the mode needs to be changed, users will redo according to the steps of mode choice.
Status indicator instruction:
If users don’t choose mode, status light will light up shortly after the system being powered on and then run out. After that status light will flicker for indication on the basis of modes which can be chosen in scope of remote control. If system is in mode 1, the light will be on, and then will be snuffed out three seconds and subsequently always be bright which means that system has entered the status of current mode function and waited for the signal access. If system is in mode 2, the light will be on, and then will be snuffed out three seconds, after that it will be on again and then will be snuffed out three seconds and subsequently always be bright which means that system has entered the status of current mode function and waited for the signal access.
When IN port receives a pulse signal, meanwhile, its high time is within 0.7ms to 2.2ms, this signal is effective and remote control will send signal according to setting mode as well as control target camera, at this moment the status light will flicker. If signal time is beyond the above scope, system will ignore it and think it as a useless signal.
