Do we need a whoop frame that could support 2.5inch props? Many pilots gave us feedback and advice since the early of 2019, named 95X. The project of a whoop drone with 2.5" props started in BETAFPV R&D department then. In the past year, we doubt the real requirement for duct on such a large drone. Then delay, and delay again.

I reached out to Betafpv about this and didn't get a response. I had a doinker frame that I had upscaled to 2.5" with today's electronics and props it would be awesome. My version used 30x30 electronics -- By Chris Davis
You know would actually make it fly much better .... no ducts. What’s the point of having them at this size? -- By Daniel Sugano
Kevin .. I'm with you. I feel a lot better flying the whoops around.. I've been hit with whoops, not so bad and seen the bloody mess from a 3 inch hitting a guy in the back.. yeah, I prefer the whoops ;) -- By Chris ParryÂ

Until 2 months ago, the requirement of a whoop drone that could carry a 35g VTX and still could fly acrobatic. Yes, now we need a 95X frame for 2.5inch props, even the real wheelbase is 100mm.
The new 95X frames are compatible with all the parts on your 85X drone.Â
Pilots could use the original electronic parts and motors on your 85X drones. Only a new frame and some 2.5" props you could experience the great flying experience on a 95X drone.
Besides, if you have a 12A or 20A whoop AIO FC board, just have a try on this new frame.
The specification of the Beta95X frame.
The specification of the stiffener brace.
High recommend the mini canopy and Caddx Vista VTX for this frame.
