This wireless adapter works great, I have been using a $250 version but was having problems with dropouts on my new pixel phone - I was discussing with a friend and they recomended this one and it has been great - works every time and has been a lot more reliable than the more expensive one and quicker to boot. just plug this adapter where you would normally plug in your cable to enable the wireless bridge - then pair with bluetooth.
Check if your car can normally connect to Carplay or Android Auto through a wired connection - Some older cars have a USB port but the head unit needs to support a wired connection, before a wireless connection will work.
